Staying safe at LifeBridge,

information for learners
Safeguarding

LifeBridge strives to ensure that all learners remain safe and free from risk.  No learner should experience abuse, neglect, exploitation or radicalisation.  Abuse (any action which intentionally harms or injures anyone) can be physical, neglectful, emotional, sexual, financial, psychological, institutional or discriminatory.   The Designated Safeguarding Lead (Yvonne Neve), Safeguarding Deputy (Jane Haslam) and all of the staff at Lifebridge are here to help and support learners to keep safe.   LifeBridge may contact other specialist agencies for help and guidance and to support learners too.

If you think you or a friend or colleague are being abused, contact the DSL at LifeBridge on 01204 391038
The Prevent Duty

LifeBridge aims to ensure all learners remain free from the risk of becoming radicalised.  This means when a person is encouraged to support acts of terrorism and/or extreme violence.  If you are concerned that you, a friend or somebody you know is being drawn into this type of activity, talk to our Safeguarding Lead or Deputy immediately.
Staying Safe Online

LifeBridge recognises the risks associated with the use of the Internet and social media.  Learners should follow these guidelines in order to keep themselves safe:
  • Never give out personal information such as your address, phone number, date of birth, family names and numbers, social security numbers etc.
  • Never meet strangers you have met online.
  • Never share your passwords.
  • Never share intimate/sexual photographs or videos.
  • Never post offensive comments.
  • Never share anything you wouldn’t want your parents, carers, teachers or future employers seeing.
