Functional Skills

All learners study Functional Skills Maths and English at Entry Level 1, Entry level 2, Entry Level 3 or at Level 1 or Level 2.

Functional Skills Maths

The Functional Skills Maths course of study enables LifeBridge ASEND learners to develop their understanding and skills in Maths. Learners will be able to apply their Mathematical skills to practical situations across a variety of different contexts. A qualification in Functional Skills Maths provides learners with a foundation for progression into employment or further technical education and helps learners develop their numeracy and problem-solving skills essential for everyday life.

Functional Skills English

The Functional Skills English course of study enables LifeBridge ASEND learners to develop their understanding and skills in English. Learners will be able to apply their skills and knowledge to practical situations across a variety of different contexts. A qualification in Functional Skills English provides learners with a foundation for progression into employment or further education and helps learners develop their skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening, essential for everyday life.
