Our 'Pathway to Independence' provides our learners with the skills they need to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives and make a positive contribution to the community in which they live. It also helps to build confidence, self-awareness and responsibility through interaction with others.
What to expectLearners on the 'Pathway to Independence' will attend LifeBridge ASEND four days a week with one day off. During their time at LifeBridge, learners will take part in lessons providing Accredited Functional Maths and Functional English skills along with targeted Life Skills which are influenced by individual EHCP outcomes. In addition, learners on this pathway have lots of enrichment opportunities such as cooking, gardening, DIY, Drama, Sport & Leisure and Art. Learners on the Independence pathway also have the amazing opportunity to achieve a Duke of Edinburgh Award (Click the link for further DofE information).
Learners have the opportunity to buy into LifeBridge PLUS if they require a further day. Please take a look at our LifeBridge PLUS page by clicking the link below. |
